A Small Beam of Editorial Satisfaction
A recent submission by an author was rejected, with some of my rationale going into the letter that was sent. The writer took the suggestions in the letter, did some research, revised the story, and sent it to another publisher and got the book contracted for. Congratulations on a job very well done!
How do I know this? The author wrote a very nice letter to LI's editor-in-chief to say so. Not only that, but the writer was so not miffed that another story is going to be submitted to LI.
Now that's what I call cool.
And on a side note, the eBay auction of editorial services as well as other items for a charity helmed by author Inga Mahn is ongoing. This is not related to the eBay auction LI will hold for the hurricane relief effort.
