Another Week Begins -- Just Club Me Now
It's back to the office tomorrow... I don't suppose anyone would like to hire me and get me away from the insanity?
Pros --
I:
- work quickly and learn fast
- can work independently, including decision-making
- have multi-tasking practically down to a science (but starting to get overwhelmed)
- have an even temper (but it's getting a bit frayed)
- have good follow-up skills
- have decent interpersonal skills
- will give you more than your money's worth
Cons --
I:
- need a steady salary/wage
- prefer a relatively set schedule
- do not like office politics and the expected socializing and schmoozing
- give slackers short shrift
- don't do windows or toilets
- am very literal-minded, so might not get all your jokes
- don't watch TV at all, so might not get your popular culture/TV references
Okay, was going to make a separate post but might as well toss in my pet peeves here.
Pet Peeves --
People who:
- demand antibiotics for non-bacterial illnesses
- don't wash their hands after using the restroom. Spritzing their hands with water for 1 second does not count as washing. Neither does rinsing without using soap.
- don't read and say reading is a waste of time
- don't accept personal responsibility and accountability
- give unreasonable expectations and deadlines
- write inaccurate blurbs or book jacket summaries
- treat people who serve them (eg, waiters, cleaning ladies, sales people, etc) like crap solely because they're the customer/client
- don't wipe down the toilet after they've gotten it messy
- barge into, or attempt to barge into, a bathroom or stall without knocking first
- toss their trash on the ground or anywhere but in a trash receptacle
- congregate in front of or near entrances and exits to smoke
- step on or shove past you without saying "excuse me"
- don't bother to learn to pronounce or spell someone's name, especially if it's a foreign name
- don't pull their fair share of work and complain about how hard they work
- play mind games or go on power trips
- whine
- steal other people's credit
- are brown-nosers and sycophants
- are money-hungry, materialistic
- think only in the short term
- think anything and everything is theirs by right, whether it's people or possessions or ideas
- don't communicate and leave you hanging
- don't know how to compromise
- use their baby carriages to lead them into streets...directly into the paths of cars and trucks
- use their baby carriages to forge a path...over other people's feet
- use their baby carriages to keep a door from closing...potentially harming their children
- who don't signal when driving
- who tail gate
I know there's more, but my brain is tired right now....
