The Countdown Begins

That's right: Labor Day is gone and thus has begun the end...of summer. Fall will be here soon (I can't wait!), then winter (I can wait!). Holidays galore are soon to arrive...please, please, please. lol. On the other hand, it's also the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.O horror! :-O

Today was a good day. First, it wasn't Monday, the usual beginning of the work week, and second, I was actually able to clear off my desk for the first time in months. That's right, I didn't leave a single job sitting to be done for tomorrow. Of course, there will be jobs left for me tonight for me to work on early in the morning, but still! I also was able to get it all done and myself out the door at 6p!!

The tiny blot on today was that I went out for dinner, and after 15 minutes of waiting for someone just to come by in a restaurant that was totally not busy (we're talking maybe 4 tables of people, total, plus another 3 sets at the open bar), we walked out, something I've only ever done once before. Yep, I walked out of a restaurant without ordering and it was for the same reason. The sad thing is that this restaurant has always been ok before. Grrrr!

And just so you know where I'm coming from, I've also waited tables before and even bartended (which is kind of ironic, considering that I don't drink alcohol), so I know things can get crazy in restaurants and some customers can be total jerks. However, this restaurant was practically empty and it was 6:30p! Grrrr x 2!

But never mind all that! 2 pieces of exciting news --

Brenda Bryce has set up her Website! WHOO HOO! Check it out! My favorite page is the Links page: it's got stars and handcuffs! But I also love the WIP and crafts pages.

Brenda sent me an awesome package! Oh, yeah! We're talking handmade risque bookmarks, lol. You have NO idea how greedy I was for these, lol. And now Brenda has totally spoiled me. Tee hee!

hahaha. those darned work elves. They just can't get it right. They should DO your work for you not leave more. Glad you like the package and your link. Now me and my faulty memory can remember where I set you down last.

Sorry about dinner. That bites. So what did you end up eating?
